Verse Pursuit Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Verse Pursuit("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Verse Pursuit mobile application (the "App") available on iOS and Android platforms. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

The App is intended for users of all ages. By using the App, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18 years of age, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the App.

3. Description of Service

Verse Pursuit is a Bible trivia and learning game that helps users engage with Scripture through interactive gameplay. The App offers:

  • Single-player and multiplayer game modes
  • Daily verses and weekly challenges
  • Progress tracking and achievements
  • Optional premium subscription features

4. User Accounts and Data

You may use the App without creating an account. If you choose to create a profile, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information.

We store game progress, preferences, and profile information as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Premium Subscription

Verse Pursuit offers an optional premium subscription ("Verse Pursuit Premium") that provides additional features. The subscription is billed monthly at the rate displayed in the App at the time of purchase.

5.2 Billing

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings:

  • iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions
  • Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions

Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

5.4 Restore Purchases

If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your purchases using the "Restore Purchases" option in the subscription screen.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's operation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App
  • Use automated means to access or collect data from the App
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
  • Use the multiplayer features to harass or harm other users

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by Verse Pursuit and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Scripture quotations are from various Bible translations as indicated in the App and are used under applicable licenses and fair use provisions.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may delete your account and data at any time through the Settings menu in the App.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERSE PURSUIT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Verse Pursuit, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
